We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at the Senior Center 1180 Pepsi Place (click for map). The meetings are in room C and are finished by 9pm. Occasional scheduling conflicts require that meetings be postponed until the third Thursday of the month. Schedule changes are posted in the Calendar.
First comes the the business meeting, and announcements of field trips, workshops, shows, and other activities, both within our club and in other groups in the Piedmont area.
Then we hold an informal competition, based on the assigned topic of the month, among members of similar experience. An experienced judge critiques and judges the entries. The emphasis is on learning to see and evaluate the photos, to be able to apply those standards to our own work. The “Member Gallery” offers a platform for photographers to present a photo for critique and discussion, outside the competition environment.
After the competition, the judge may then discuss his or her own work, a specific photographic skill, or type of photography.

Christmas Dinner Meeting
